DEBBIE HARRY GETS BODY-SNATCHED |
PHOTOGRAPHS BY JOHNNY DYNELL FOR THE JACKIE FACTORY, 2002. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
Both JACKIE 60 and CLICK + DRAG are famous for their dress codes, and this evening featured a huge range of Ricean
archetypes and players. The invite read DRESS AS YOUR FAVORITE ANNE RICE CHARACTER. A FEW SUGGESTIONS:
Venetian splendor a la Marius, Texas Vampire biker, Akasha The Queen of the Damned for
femme queens, 18th-century New Orleans quadroon, Vampire Lestat (all eras,) Petyr
Von Abel realness for Butch Women, the winged statue from Memnoch, Pandora, God, thrall of
Armand, warlock glamour a la Julien Mayfair, Victorian Doll effects, ball dress or period costume.
The party broke up near dawn, when revelers streamed out into a cold Bowery morning.
It seemed they had been in New Orleans, Paris, Venice, amd to Hell and back, without ever leaving the club!
Time to crawl back into their crypts, perhaps with a copy of Anne's latest, Blackwood Farm.
