This gathering celebrated the diversity of THE MOTHERBOARDS by
including entertainment, go-go, and music from many of its online
performance schools. Even more impressive than the talent roster
was the fact that every one of them is an active member of the
on-line community - PENNY ARCADE,
JUSTIN BOND AND KENNY MELLMAN, FALON,
THE FISHSTICKS, HATTIE HATHAWAY,
THE HOUSE OF DOMINATION'S
CYBERSLUTS, LILY OF THE VALLEY, LUXURY LEX,
ARMEN RA ,
SWEETIE, VULGARAS, MISS KELLY WEBB
and DR. CLARK RENDER. The DJs, SAMMY JO and JOHNNY DYNELL
also came from the Board ranks.
The night was more a celebration than a benefit, but all door
proceeds helped pay the site's ever-growing server
bill, which is also subsidized by voluntary Board Memberships (subscriptions) and ads from local
businesses. Many of these Board members came from far and near to meet friends for the first time face-toface.
The theme was inspired by the 1970 Jefferson Starship album "Blows Against The Empire"
and people were asked to feature Space Colonization gear, Cyberslut fetish, alien glamour,
motherboards and other circuitry, Heaven's Gate couture, space tranny,
nomadic rave-wear, Robot Club-kid, distressed I Love NY logos,
Extra-Terrestrial tart, Jackie 60 T's, Trekkie, laptops as accessories
or Motherboards interface colors black and purple. |
