SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL AT CONEY ISLAND
The Coney Island Sideshow, built in 1917, was once home to legends Sealo the Seal Boy and JoJo the Dogfaced Boy, and
dripping with the authenticity that gave the show an extra edge. It ws a very surreal experience at 5 PM, with sunlight
streaming in, and various show attendees dressed as pinheads, adult babies and sailors. The attendance of the venue's
regular sideshow folk, including director Dick Zigun (the man most responsible for Coney's revival) along with our fellow
revues MR. MURRAY HILL and the BINDLESTIFF FAMILY CIRCUS, made it a very FURTHER experience, for those who managed to
elbow their way in. The entire festival was overcrowded beyond anyone's wildest dreams, which meant that some of Jackie's
nearest and dearest couldn't get inside. Regardless of the first-time glitches, it was a legendary experience that we
won't soon forget!
