We who dress up every day always welcome this month of masquerade for Mundanes, and its heaping platter of fun, glamorous events. Master Puppeteer BASIL TWIST has been enchanting us since he was a mere lad at JACKIE 60, so its a rare treat to be working with him again on a Factory spectacle. Basil and his company made waves throughout the theatre/art/magick worlds when SYMPHONIE FANTASTIQUE debuted at HERE Arts Center in Soho in 1998, and subsequently toured around the globe. Now this underwater creation, set to the Berlioz work and performed in a 1,000 gallon tank, has returned to New York at DODGER STAGES, a new theater complex off-Broadway. Tonight, after a special added performance at 11 PM, the Jackie Factory will host Basil's friends, creative collaborators and fellow artists at midnight, in celebration of the recently opened smash hit.
Revels will include a Command Performance by dancer/choreographer JULIE ATLAS MUZ at 12:30 and ambient "Method Go-Go" performances by AMBER RAY and L'EAU DOMINATION and butoh artiste VANGELINE (dressed in elements from the show's tank effects). DJ JOHNNY DYNELL will provide the eclectic soundtrack and HYPNOTIQUE the cocktails, while CHI CHI VALENTI hosts and other Factory Folk assist. Festivities will begin on the stroke of midnight, and last for several hours.
Suggested Dress: Sequins, tinsel, 19th century Opium Romantics, Finding Nemo, feathers, Sabbathwear for Witches, glitter and bubbles, Harriet Smithson Ophelia drag for femme queens or Pure Magic.

Since its opening a few years ago, New York's MUSEUM OF SEX has fast evolved into OUR kind of cultural institution. In our latest collaboration with "MoSex", we're celebrating the October opening of "Vamps & Virgins: The Evolution of the American Pinup 1860-1960". Tracing the development of the classic American pinup photo from early hardcore imagery of the mid 19th century to the "Golden Age" cheesecake images of the 1950s, the exhibition is culled from the vast Mark Rotenberg collection, a sweeping survey of erotic material from the past 150 years never before exhibited.
For this delicious event, the Jackie Factory reunites again at CROBAR with long-time collaborator ABBY EHMANN (EDITRIX ABBY), local pornmeister and club-night producer of MONDO PORNO events, CLICK + DRAG @ MOTHER and GOMORRAH. The evening features living cheescake by Method Go-go Legends including MARTI DOMINATION, LITTLE BROOKLYN, DARLINDA and ANNIE, AMBER RAY DOMINATION and many more, and other performances unconfirmed at presstime. Images from the exhibit will play through the night in projections produced by ST. EVE.

A rare JACKIE 60 FURTHER edition in the tres-gay Marais district of Paris brings New York expats and French Jackie fans together for an evening of "poetry, performance and plaid" in Old Europe. The evening features a guest spot by ALLIGATOR BOY, the London-based performance artiste discovered by the Factory last year, readings by RACHELL HALL and Verbal Abuse God MICHAEL JAMES O'BRIEN, corsetry by the legendary MR. PEARL and a dance performance by LAYARD THOMPSON. DJ JOHNNY DYNELL spins in this elegant Gallery/Courtyard/Club and CHI CHI VALENTI will represent for the JACKIE MCs (in broken Creole French, of course). This one-night wonder is co-produced by CABARET MAGIQUE cohort O'Brien, who opens his first solo photography show in Paris on October 20 at the same venue.

SATURDAY OCTOBER 2 - THE HOUSE OF DOMINATION AND FRIENDS in RUBBER NURSES
New York City's all-female fetish performance troupe THE HOUSE OF DOMINATION returns to the REED ROOM tonight for an evening of Medical Fetish. The "House of D" is famous for bringing to life every kind of BDSM and fetish archetype, and their RUBBER NURSES have appeared at fetish events around the city and the world. Tonight head nurses JULIE ATLAS MUZ, AMBER RAY and KELLY WEBB DOMINATION supervise the ward, dressed in KITTY BOOTS medical fetish couture. They'll be joined by heartthrob intern ANGEL, VANGELINE and even more house stars for hilarious and hard-edged hijinks - snap on your rubber gloves and join them!

SATURDAY OCTOBER 9 - THE BIRDS
Inspired by Hitchcock's classic film AND various tropical forays, a night of magnificent plumage starring ROSE WOOD, Seattle Burlesquer LEROI THE GIRL-BOY, male illusionist MICKEY MAQUEE, LIX VELVET and other Flaming Creatures. Each of this evening's performers will appear on the Method Go-Go platform as a bird of some species, including Showgirl Peacocks, a Firebird, and the all-important Crow! DJ DYNELL will bring a jungle feel to the evening's soundtrack as the uber-popular DEEP DISH rule the main room.
Suggested Dress: Feathers, tails, Firebird motifs, peacock feather accents, penguin looks, beaks, or pecked-by-birds Punk looks.
