"Like Moulin Rouge on crack" -L.A. Times
The experimental CABARET MAGIQUE performance series was launched
at the Chez Es Saada Moroccan restaurant in New York's East Village
in January, 2003. The weekly series ran for a year and a half, later
moving to Tapis Rouge on nearby Avenue A. Producers CHI CHI VALENTI,
JOHNNY DYNELL and MICHAEL JAMES O'BRIEN provided a signature mix of
classic showgirl performance, experimental spoken word, chanteuses
of all genders, and other rising stars of the downtown demi-monde.
